What is Manchurian?
Manchurian or potato Manchurian is a Chinese dish it is very delicious and tasty. It is also called Northeast Chinese most of the people and kids also like Manchurian with fried rice. You can make it at home very easily by forming dumplings and mix with sauce with sour, hot, and salty.
Does Manchurian is healthy for you?
The Manchurian sauce is made with different types of sauce that are chilli garlic sauce, green chilli sauce, soy sauce. Manchurian have 12.1 grams Fat, 3.8 grams fibre, 36.7 grams carbohydrates, 5.1 grams protein.
You can make Manchurian in many types like you can make veg Manchurian, chicken Manchurian, Mutton Manchuria, potato Manchurian etc.
Let us see the ingredients of Potato Manchurian- 4 large potatoes, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/4 cup cornflour, 1teaspoon ginger and garlic paste, 1 teaspoon red chilli powder, salt as per requirement, a pinch of red food colour, oil for deep fry, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, 1 large size chopped onion, 1 capsicum chopped, 1 tablespoon green chilli sauce or green chilli paste, 1/2 tablespoon soya sauce, 1/2 tablespoon red chilli sauce, 1/2 tablespoon vinegar, 1 tablespoon shezwan chutney, 1 tablespoon tomato sauce.
Let’s see the process of making potato Manchurian, first, take potato peel and wash cut them into a square small size just like paneer. Now heat water in a pan then add square shape potato and pinch of salt into hot water then boil it. Boil 85% then remove into the cold water then transfer into the plate and aside. Now take a bowl then add all-purpose flour, cornflour, ginger & garlic paste, red chilli powder, salt, and a pinch of red food colour. Add water and make a thick batter then add boiled potato and cote them properly.
Now heat a pan and heat oil for deep fry now add the potato and fry them. Then transfer into a plate then again fry them into hot oil in high flame. Do the same process 2-3 times so that it will give you a crispy potato. Now again heat a pan and heat some oil, then add chopped garlic fry for 30 seconds then add chopped onion, chopped capsicum, green chilli sauce if you don’t have green chilli sauce then you can also use green chilli paste.
Fry them for 2 minutes then again add, soya sauce, red chilli sauce, vinegar, shezwan chutney and tomato ketchup. Now fry them well for another 2-3 minutes. Then add remaining batter and fry after that add our fried potato and cote them well in the sauce, mix them properly. Now our potato Manchurian is ready to taste. Serve with fried rice.
