Make very tasty and delicious sweet dish Rabri at home
What is Rabri?
Rabri is a famous north Indian dish which is completely made up of milk. You can make it by adding different flavour jaggery, spices and different types of nuts which you want. Many people like plain Rabri and many of them like creamy milk taste. It has been seen that in many places Rabri make with buffalo milk because of high fat and the thick layer of malai.
What is Rabri made of?
Rabri is a sweet dish made with boiling milk in very low flame till it’s thick and change colour. You can add saffron, dry fruits or jaggery for flavour. It is very easy to make and it is healthy for everyone because Rabri has the goodness of milk, nuts and jaggery.
So let us see the ingredients of delicious sweet Rabri. Try to do not skip any ingredients for tasty rabri you can found all ingredients in any grocery store.
Ingredients for 5-6 serving you can also increase quantity according to your requirement. 2.5 litres milk, 2 tablespoons sliced almonds, 2 tablespoons sliced pistachios, 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom powder, 2 tablespoon sugar (you add sugar as per requirement), a pinch of salt.
Let’s start the process of making delicious Rabri. Heat a pot or pan and add 2.5 litres of milk. Then bring it to a boil by stirring after boiling stir continuously for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes cook on low or medium flame and leave it for 5 minutes. Then you can see that a layer of cream is formed on milk. Now stick this cream to pot side. Boil again and again with continuous stirring until milk reduces to 750 ml. After 5-6 minutes, you have to stick the cream to the pot side.
Then stir at the bottom to avoid burning. Again stick the cream to the pot side now our milk is reduced to 750ml. Now add sliced almond, sliced pistachios, cardamom powder, sugar and a pinch of salt (salt is for balancing the sugar taste). Then again stir constantly for 5 minutes. Now scrape the sides and mix all the cream from pot side. Then cook for some more time until it thickens, it took around 2 to 3 hours for thick times depend upon you quantity of milk. After that switch off the flame and let it cool completely. It becomes thicker when it cool completely. Now our delicious rabri is ready to taste.
